How to you build a rail that you can grind with a snowboard?

Can a snowboard break on a rail?

  • can you break a snowboard on a grind rail? and if so how?

  • Answer:

Yes but it can be easyly avoided. Say your hit a big jump onto a handrail and your going to do a backside boardslide. When your land with the rail right inbetween your legs that can snap a board and i have seen boards that have been snaped like that in the lodge. How yoy provent it is just landing where your boot is and have more of your board hanging over the edge. It adds alot of steeze as well.

Yes. To much weight and force can be applied. Typically if you go to a ski resort you'll be fine unless you weigh more than your board can support, or the flexibility of it and the quality of it is poor. Usually when you buy a board it has stats on what it's made for such as park, all mountain, race, powder, etc.

this is me!!

If your snowboard says that it can only hold up to 120 pounds and you're 140, it could bend and snap under the stress. So yes. My board is: 137cm and can hold 125 lbs. So wear a helmet. -Selene
