If you want to go to a place that is a lot less busy, check out Crested Butte. It's a really awesome place with condos at the base of the mountain or more lodging in town about 10 minutes away. They have a large range of runs from hike-in double black diamonds that are more like backcountry skiing/snowboarding to very easy greens that I learned how to snowboard on. A full top to bottom run of the whole mountain takes over an hour if I remember right (I haven't been there in a few years). I believe lift ticket prices were cheaper than Breck/Keystone/Copper/A Basin

When and how much are you willing to spend? That will determine whether you can afford the large ski areas like Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breck. But be forewarned. finding a hotel by the slopes means about $300 a night or more.

Go to keystone and stay at the key condos. They say ski in ski out, but they aren't but they are really nice and I love staying there and it is really close anyway though
