recommending a brand of boot is pointless. there is only one approach to boots - try on as many pairs as you can and buy the pair that fit best (regardless of who makes them). alasdair

ok im guessing that since its your second or third year riding, id recommend a board in the $300- $400 range. id recommend brands like k2, burton, ride, forum, and arbor. the cheapest burton boards out there are the clash and bullet, for $300 each. i would recommend these two. you should go check them out for yourself. out of those two, id go with the bullet because of the flexibilty. the felxibilty and pop is really good on this. you can get some serious riding in. its not a specific mountain board, just a great all mountain board. have a look at the other two brands though, and good luck finding what you want!

the Sims electroshock is a good board for beginner free styling, it costs around 279$, as well as the Ride agenda, which costs 369$. for a cheap but awesome burton board, you should go for the clash. did you also want to know boots and bindings?

in terms of Brand I'd recommend Forum, or Burton. As far as the board, what is your price range?
