How can I become a professional snowboarder or get sponsored by Burton?

Its not all about competitions bro. You have to practice a **** load. Im not a pro or sponsored skiier, but I like practicing off pow jumps and working on street rails when the steps are burried under snow beforeI take it to the real thing. If you lived on a mountain or very close to one, you would hear about comps, but its going to be a lot more dedication if you live 3 hours away, or even 2 to get to them or even practice on the mtn in general. Oh and, if you want to get sponsored. make videos and send them to, NOT VERY LEGIT COMPANIES LIKE BURTON, but something smaller. and then if the smaller companies do sponsor you, burton will come to realize that your worth their while for interest. I tried sending some vids to comapnies, but only one responded. Didnt get sponsored. Tough World. Good luck though!

You can go online and look for tourneys you can enter and travel to, or you could start making videos and putting them on youtube and get reconized there. It will take a long time and a lot of hard work but it will be worth it. P.S. you could try to find adresses of pros and send them videos of you snoboarding Sincerely Shaun White
