Personally, I like Burton. Sure, they're more expensive ... but their boards are poppier and you'll not be thinking about upgrading for a real long time. Their bindinings are the best and most advanced for maximum control and feel - super support even if you're just starting out or if you're an expert. Burton started the sport and has put everything into making their stuff the best. You can't go wrong. Just something to think about. You could check out some of their gear at http://www.snowboardsskis.com/burton/

I personally wouldn't do the "perfect kit" thing. They are just trying to sell you more K2 product. If you are looking for function, Ride bindings are great. I have had several pairs that all last three seasons or more. Boots are preference though. 32 makes great boots, as well as DC. Just go try some on at a shop and see what you like.

You could look for bindings and boots with similar flex feel as your board. Or you can go to k2snowboarding.com and look at the perfect kit for the Brigade. The perfect kit is located under the spot where the video is. Here is the link. http://k2snowboarding.com/snowboards/brigade
