  • Answer:

Your not going to ruin a camera bringing it up the lifts, just keep it in a bag, and when your not filming put it in a locker when your done. It's that easy. Besides you will wish your video had better quality when you play it back.

it really depends what your doing this for if you are doing this to get sponsored or a demo version i'd take the HD camera but if the other camera has ok quality and your not planning on using for anything but like homeviewing or youtube or whatever bring the low quality one besides you dont wanna ruin your nice new one for no reason

Take them both with you and see which one you are comfortable with. Personally I would take the cheap one because if I were you I wouldn't want to risk losing or braking my brand new expensive video camera.

They have cameras you can mount on your helmet that don't weigh too much. I would not take any expensive camera traveling with you unless you intend to use it only around the ski lodge. If you intend to go anywhere near the trails with it you should go with the cheap. If it breaks or whatever you wil not be as heartbroken, and your trip will not be ruined.
