Where's the best place to go for a winter/snowboarding holiday?

    If you are looking for good snow not too far from home, I suggest the Three Valley region in France. A good place for accommodation : www.madamevacances.co.uk , with a wide range of Chalets, Hotels and Apartments in the French Alps and the Pyrenees.

Bargain Baisment - Bukgaria but this involves a long coach trip when you arrive Cheap places - try Andorra or Italy (cormeyeur in italy is nice but a bit short on easy runs) short coach trip trip Flaine in france - most flights are geniva and so are only about 1 hr We like La Plagne in France as it has something for most of the family big wide crusing runs (for my wife) and silly short bumps (for my son) Have a look at the Daily telegraph ski resort guide for a non tourist view of resorts (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/snowandski/skiguides/)

The Alps is a brilliant place to go skiing/snowboarding. It's quite a big area of mountains and there are plenty of resorts. I don't know how many mountains there are, but you sure will have a lot of fun!
