How is Snowboarding better than Skiing?

  • Ok I'm writing a compare and contrast essay for my class and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how Snowboarding is better than skiing, I only need the pros, not the cons.

    riding isn't neccesarily better than skiing--its all preference...but if i had to pick: 1. you only have to control one board as opposed to 2 skis 2.. it may be easier, i couldn't grasp skiing like someone else said even after several attempts..but my first day on a board i was decent, and even better my 2nd day 3. there's a certain vibe that's associated with riding that skiiers dont have

i have been snow boarding since i was about 4 and i just have never thought about it till now i guess it just really depends on the person if you like skiing then stay with skiing but if you like to take risks snowboarding is the way to go

when you crash you don't have to hike back up the hill to get your skis... your board stays on your feet!

for one its easier then skiing, cause you don't have to worry about your legs crossing up. I could never learn how to ski over the years, the first time I went snowboarding I was pretty good and went down a black(expert) trail. I think it really just depends on what you like.
