What are good snowboard, boots, and binding brands?

    Burton is no different than other snowboard companies yet they feel they can charge more for their boards. They aren't junk but you can get just as good quality with other companies for cheaper. I looked into Burton when I was getting new boards but when I found out boards of similar quality would cost 250-400 dollars more with Burton I decided not to go that route. To get a good board you need to avoid large chains like D I C K S Sporting Goods and go to a place that specializes in winter sports. A few brands to avoid are LTD and Lamar, which are basically sold at the large chains that you should be avoiding. K2, Ride, Forum, Capita are some good boards. Towards the end of your ski/boarding season you should see the store at your mountain put stuff on sale. Also during the off season stores will have good deals on stuff to. Everything will cost more during the peak part of the season because more people want the stuff.

Burton is really good for boards and so is Forum and Ride and Rome. I have Burton boots with Rome bindings on a Rome board and they work great. Hit up Ski Market and the guys there will fit you to your riding style.

Don't listen to that yahoo user that said burton is not really good. Burton is on the top 5 bindings in the U.S. The best snowboard would be to get a brand from the white collection. The best boots would be the Burton because Burton's ski equipment are the best and don't let that yahoo user change your mind on Burton. The best time of year to buy all of that equipment is right before you are about to snowboard like a week or two.
