  You can definitely make a living out of it! Sponsors look for people who are unique and really stand out with their own personalities. Make a video of you doing different tricks, along with a list of competitions and results that you've competed in, and send them out to every sponsor you can get your hands on (big and small). But the real key to success is, just ride. As you ride and progress, someone will notice you. Most companies don't even bother to watch the "Sponsor Me!" videos, so don't feel down if no companies respond to you. Companies keep an eye out for up-and-coming snowboarders and often send scouts to competitions, so if your good enough, you'll be contacted by a sponsor. If your hoping to be the next Shaun White, I'm sorry say that that is very unlikely, unless you've got mad talent! I suggest that as you get older, find a job at a snowboarding company or open up your own board shop. You could even become an instructor at a snowboarding resort too. Honestly, though, you can't go into snowboarding looking to make a career out of it. You go into snowboarding looking to have fun and doing something you love. ~ Caty
