Answer:
lol skateboarding isnt really like snowboarding... i mean... you can always hop off a skateboard if things get sketchy longboarding is a little bit more like snowboarding, although not nearly at fast, and maintaining balance is an easy feat on a longboard like those guys said 2x4 in the backyard... spinning on and off once you have the balance down the you can move on to a pipe maybe you could do tailblocks on a carpet then theres flatland spinning, muscle memory will help you do it on snow hope i helped lol keep it real

Tramps are good but if you dont have one (like myself) strap in just on your carpet. Go in a room where you have alot of space, or get a good sized piece of carpet or someting and put it in your yard. I practice spinning, buttering, and balance. This is great because you can check out your technique too by filming yourself or something. You can go your pace because your alone and can really work up your muscles that will help you in the season. Doing this will give you a head start when the snow falls because your muscles will be used to it all. Practicing flatland makes it harder to spin, but if you can do a 360 on a peice of carpet, imagine how easy it will be on the hill. As for building a box/rail, its a great way to practice without the pressure of other people watching. Its way easier to do things in your own backyard. So yeah its up to you. Have fun, trust me, just a little prep will make your season way better.

i got one of those pool skateboards from target and took some tape and made bindings on it. it works really well on trampoline and obsorbs landings really well too. and if you wanted to work on jibbing id get a skate rail and set the ends at 2 different hights and practice sliding down it, a 2x4 would work 2 but you can use the skate rails when it snows to get some real practice. also you could get an indo board to practice ballence. and lastly if your want to do or are having trouble with corks or rodeos take some gymnastics...

Get a skateboard.

To practice rails/balance: 1) Lay a 2x4 on ground and practice jumping on and maintaining balance 2) Get a Vewdo board; or make one by grabbing a skateboard and a full 2L bottle and practice balancing on it Air: 1) Trampoline; Tape edges of board so doesn't cut Riding: 1) Get Long board/Skateboard/ T- Board
