Based on you're height and weight you would fall between 125cm and 135cm. At you're size you probably want a board somewhere around your chin, maybe just under. Generally speaking, beginner riders should look into a board that is softer and shorter because it is much easier to control at slower speeds. Now bare in mind that you don't want to be stuck with a super basic board as you progress and get better and better. There are a bunch of women specific boards on the market, so it shouldn't be too hard to locate a ride that caters to your exact needs. If you look hard enough (I would check any local snowboard shops or even sports stores, this time of year, gear tends to be at least 50% off) you might be able to find a gem. I used to deal with companys like Lamar and Morrow that make a decent board for around $200 brand new, current year. Also, be very wary of buying boots online, as you really need to try those on and make sure they're comfy cozy. Good luck and have fun shreddin'!

Well for a beginner I would say the board go to your collarbone or to your chin.

I would suggest going to a snowboard shop round your area and asking them what size and stuff you need. Imply your going to buy one from them and they'll give you all your right measurments. Then you can say you'll be back when you get payed, and buy one off the net really cheap.
