Answer:
A helmet would be good to buy (some resorts to rent others don't) with some goggles. You need clothes. Wristbands are only needed if you suck but you can buy them at your local shop.

You can probably rent a helmet, and I would DEFINITELY go for it. Nothing ruins your trip like a good crack on the head. Also, it keeps your head warm. Goggles are good to have, especially if they are blowing snow. You can get a cheap pair for under $20 and invest in better ones if you decide you like snowboarding enough. Cotton is bad if you're trying to stay warm. Make sure you wear a performance baselayer under your jacket and pants because if you wear cotton, you will sweat, get damp, and be miserable. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg on this, if you have performance fabric gym clothes you can use that. I would also recommend taking 2 pairs of gloves. As a beginner, you will have your hands in the snow a lot, and your gloves will get damp, even if they are supposedly waterproof.

A helmet is not included but it may be available for rent, we are renting helmets this year. Considering how cheap you can pick them up theres no reason not to have one. You'll thank yourself for wearing one when you fall and hit your head and get back up instead of getting carried down by ski patrol You need clothing, base layer such as Under Armour Cold Gear Base 3.0, layers of fleece clothing, jacket and snowpants, you want breathability/waterproofing ratings of 10 K each on the jacket and pants you also need goggles and gloves/mittens

helmet is not included and its not required either the only other "required" equipment is basically clothing -- snowboard pants/jacket, gloves, hat or facemask, goggles--since you'll be there for 7 days you'll probably see a wide range of weather so be prepared for anything
