What are some good Snowboard brands...?

    Check out online stores to get an idea of what price ranges you are looking at, but definitely go to an actual snowboard store to buy your gear, the people there can help you with what is suitable for you and the length of your board. If you're just starting out you don't really need such an expensive board, get a cheap board now, and then when you turn pro you can get a nice new expensive board. At the beginning, you shouldn't think that the board is the most important snowboard gear item. The boots you buy are way more important. You need to get them properly fitted and make sure they are comfortable. The snowboard boots affect the way you ride.

u get what u pay for, burton is the top, and there is also atlantis, ride, k2 and llamar. the prices gan get as high as $500 a good board should be around $350

My first advice is to go to a place called Paoli Peaks. It is a relly good place to start snow boarding. If it is your first time get a rental board and it says the size in centimeters and that would be about your size board. Then see if you like snowboarding, because alot of people just think its cool but its pretty hard at first, and dont ever give up on it unless you get hurt. the best board brand is burton. they are the best so they will be expensive. their boards brand new usually cost anywhere from $700-$1000 you will also need boots and bindings boots usually cost anywhere frome $125-$250and bindings are about the same. for more details go to www.paolipeaks.com and www.burton.com you can also look on ebay for some cheap burton snow boards good luck and have fun

i think that the best snowboard brand is burton but others are good too. i you want a cheap board but good board here are the best boards for under $350 - 1) Burton Blunt Snowboard 2) Ride Kink Snowboard 3) Gnu Carbon High Beam for size of a board ~ To find the correct length for you, start by comparing it to your height. When holding the board on its end, a short board will come up somewhere between your collar bones and chin. Because shorter boards are easier to maneuver, they are great to learn on and are preferred by riders who do a lot of trick, park and pipe riding. A medium length board standing on end will come up between your chin and nose. This length is for the all around intermediate to advanced rider who may ride a variety of terrain, including parks and steeps. tips for snowboarding ~ wear lots of layers especially if it's cold. u may want wrist guards because many people break their wrists snowboarding. most of all have fun!!!! hope this was helpful to you. im sure you will love snowboarding!

Burton. Get wrist guards. However, I recently broke my elbow instead of my wrist since the force was transmitted up my arm. When you buy it those guys can tell you exactly what size to get, and how to set up the bindings. (Goofy or regular)
