I'm looking to go snowboarding in April 08, where would be the best & cheapest, place to go for the best snow?

If the winter goes as expected here in the Pacific Northwest, Mount Bachelor is the place for the best spring snow and is not that expensive.

Mt hood always has snow at Timberline Lodge as well as Mt Hood Meadows. In April all the runs will still be open at both resorts, but Timberline is going to have a better chance of fresh snow. You're most likely not going to find a day when it has just dumped a foot or two, but it's not uncommon for storms to go by and drop 3 or 4 inches of fresh. Timberline just installed a new high speed quad too.

Last year i went to Mont Tremblant, in Quebec at Easter. I don't know if it was a fluke or something but there was a lot of snow, it snowed about a foot when i was there, and it was Easter. Don't go boarding in BC during april, it rains a lot.

the 1st replier is wrong....you can go to mammoth mountain becuase it's open until the end of june...

With global warming the way it is, you'll have to go far north or high up to get any decent snow in April in the Northern Hemisphere. I'f you're in Europe, I'd try Norway http://visitnorway.com/templates/NTRarticle.aspx?id=30076
