Snowboard size in a wide model?

I wear a size 12 boot, and i heard i need a wider snowboard. around how wide should it be?

    DUDE, listen to me. i has the same problem i got size 12 boot also. I got a wider board, Burton Canyon. i went snowboarding for the first time with it yesterday and i love it. GO FOR IT!

waiste (width) sizes are measured in centimeters, most normal boards waiste size are between 23 and 25 centimeters, you should look for a board with around 26 or 27, look at the Santa Cruz "perfect 11" beard, thats thier wide park board, it is really good...

i wear size 13 and i just have a regular board, but i ride park so idk it might be different for back country

you don't really need a wider board. It might help i guess but probably not worth it. I wear a size 14 boot and i have a standard width board. Works fine for me. trust me i've been snowboarding for 3 years with this same board.

i dont know how wide it should be but if u need a wide board it will say wide like the k2 select wide or the burton king wide
