Which do you prefer, snowboarding pr skiing?

  • I want to know what is more fun. i'd prefer if you have done both and why you like one more than the other.

    I prefer skiing because I have been doing it for much longer and I am much better. But, it's always fun to trade up with a buddy and ride a snowboard for an afternoon. It's more about spending time with friends and enjoying the mountain, as long as you're having fun.

I have tried snowboarding before, and I think I'll stick to skiing. =) I would like to take some snowboarding lessons, and know how to do both.

I prefer skiing. I generally snowboard about 1/4 of the season and ski about 3/4 of the season. They are both really fun. As far as faster, skis got alot faster than snowboards. The fastest skier was clocked at 150mph and snowboarder at 120 mph. You have to find out what you like. Snowboarding is painful to learn for the first week because of the way one falls and catches edges. But once you get it, the learning curve is fast and quick. It is just the opposite for skiing. The learning curves is fast at first and then slows drastically. I love doing both and it is just really fun being outside with your friends exploring a mountain. Hope this helps.
