How should I choose a snowboard to buy?

If im just learning to snowboard should i buy a cheap snowboard?

    Cheap is good. Make sure that it is an entry level beginner board. Ask the tech shop guy at your local board shop. You don't want to end up with something that you can't control. Boots are something I won't compromise on though. They need to be comfortable otherwise you'll be way less stoked on snowboarding. Doesn't mean that you have to spend a ton of money, you gotta make sure they're comfortable and fit your needs as a new rider.

DEFINITELY stay away from expensive snowboards if your starting. if you want to buy, get a used one, just to try it. A lot of people try it and don't want to stay with it, so i almost would reccomend renting until uve made your decision.

If this is your first time rent. If this isn't your first time i would go to a ski shop and buy a used one it brings down the cost without buying a bad board. Don't go to cheap since your a beginner your going to fall, if you have a cheap board it's going to snap, that's what i did.

First time out rent one. Find out if you like the sport before buying.
