What are some inexpensive snowboard boots?

I want to get my boyfriend snowboard boots for christmas, what kind do most guys like?

    When buying boots you cant go on what other people find comfortable as whats suits one person will not nessesarily suit another. The width of your foot and also the shape is what determines the boot you buy. Theres no point picking a boot out just because you like the brand name or style of the boot as it might be a really bad fit on you. If your boyfriend wants boots for christmas its important he trys on the boots before you buy them otherwise its more likely that not the boots you get wont be the right ones for him. He should get the ones that feel the most comfortable but are tight enough so that when he lifts his heel off the ground the bottom of the boot moves with his foot. Quality wise id say that the footwear percific brands make the best quality boots ie Vans, Northwave, 32, DC. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

no one mentioned nitro which are agreat brand!!! but for the most part, all of the names that were mentioned already work great and your bf woill love them...HOWEVER--think twice about buying surprise boots without trying them on unless the return policy is very good and even then after christmas you may not get the size he needs...sizing snowboard boots is VERY TRICKY--its not like saying i wear size 11shoes so i'll buy a size 11 boot---more to it than that---some people buy a size too small for a tighter feel, some people go a bit bigger so their feet dont hurt---also, the way they fit on the top of your feet may be too tight or loose, etc. my advice--surprise him one day and say were going boot shopping and basically go on a shopping spree for boots so he gets the ones that fit well, keep him warm and of course you gotta look cool!!!!

I would highly recommend that you take your boyfriend out to try on "many" pairs from different manufactures before buying. The boot is probably the most critical component to the snowboard equipment set-up and will easily 'make or break' the ability to throughly enjoy riding. Most of the time, riding is the only way to sense how well a boot will work out and since there is a lack of rental boots out there that are identical to the ones being sold, it's best to do a lot of trying and walking and "simulated" maneuvers prior to purchasing. Your price range is about where 'most' boots will fall but depending on what he finds, it could go higher.
