What size snowboard do I buy?

Do I need to have snow board boots???

  • I am getting a snow board. I have boots but they are not specificly snow board boots. Do I have to buy snow board boots or can I use my own boots.

  • Answer:

You should have proper snowboarding boots if you have a "real" snowboard binding on your board. Don't even think about hitting the hills with "street" boots: you could get hurt

No you can't use your own snow boots if they are just regular boots. If you are going to buy a snowboard then you are going to have to buy binding as well and a pair of snowboard boots. The type of bindings you get will determine what type of boot you need. If you get a regular rachet bindings (which I highly suggest you do) then almost any regular snowboarding boot should work (the place you buy your equipment at should help you pick out a good fitting boot for your bindings). If they don't, you want to make sure you get a boot where your toes are barely touching the end or are very close to touching the end but not so tight you can't feel your foot. You want a nice snug fit though. Good luck :)

yes normal boots or shoes are to small and not made for snowboarding. you need snowboarding boots that fit into the bindings because with out them then you dont have very good control. if your short on cash you can try Playitagain sports they will most likley have a cheap pair for you.

yes you do need to buy snowboard boots, if they arent made for the sport then dont use it

Yes, you need boarding boots. Boards come without bindings, so you need to make a decision about the type of binding and the boots which will fit into the binding. Quick release bindings and the matching boot will cost more and probably wear out more quickly (prone to getting a bit slack with age according to instructors I've spoken to). There will be more choice of boots with the standard rachet binndings. Different makes of boot have a different fit, so choose carefully. My narrow feet only fit including Salomon boots for instance. You could always rent for a week and see how you get on.

you need snowboard boots, a board, bindings water proof pants, a helmet, and a water proof jacket=]]

depneds, are they..like... snow boots? im pretty sure [not postive] that you have to either buy or rent snow bording boots in order to snow bord. I'v only been snowboarding once, 2 years ago, from what i remember, thats how it works.
