On day one skiing seems a billion times easier than snowboarding. The first week skiing looks easier and more fun. After that first week snowboarding is easier to continue advancing at.

it doesn't matter which is harder...the only thing that will matter is how persistent will you be when you're facing falling every 10-20 feet, and you come back with bruises in places you never knew existed. Having tried both...snowboarding tested m patience...especially when i saw little kids half my height flying down the mountain...but the learning process is more fun, the boots are more comfortable, and unlike skis, if you ever get tired you can just sit down. The ultimate decision is going to be up to you though...it's your money so do what you feel like doing...(cough, snowboarding).

I snowboard now but I used to ski...snowboarding is much harder because u have one good turning side and the other is hard (mines the heels to the left)

It depends on the person. It is harder sking because you do have to control two board, but snowboarding is a little tricky as well because you are going down sideways. Skiing is a bit easier for beginners because you can go slow( doing the snow plow). there is really know easy way for a beginner to go slow on a snowboard. It just depends on you. The key thing is though just have fun.=) oh and dont just do snowboarding to be "hip".

Snowboardings easy, but it's a little bit harder than skiing. Skiing is really easy, so try that first so you can get used to the slopes. Snowboarding is alot more fun so make sure you try that after skiing.

I think skiing is harder to learn as a beginner. Keeping two skis pointed in the right direction is harder than it looks... ;)

skiing because your have to controle two "boards" rather than one. but then again i guess it depends on how coordinated you are

Snowboarding is harder. Both feet are planted and unable to move. Skiing is just like wearing huge shoes.
