Am I too old to start snowboarding?

Is 13 years to old to start snowboarding?

  • I am very interested in snowboarding and i think i might do it when i get older and mabey go pro. is 13 to late to start?

    nope! i'm 14 and i started this season!!!! dont give up man if u wanna go pro then you'd better start practicing like intensely go to snowboarding camps for like a week in the summer or maybe two or three, they really help going pro is hard because there are so many other great people out there contests arent everything, ya kno just try snowboarding, and after your second time, ask yourself how it feels. Snowboarding is more than just getting sponsored and competing. Every chance you get to go snowboard, take it. You're looking really far ahead, so start by learning how to snowboard first, then see where you want to go with it. take it step by step. Everytime you go, challenge yourself to do one or two new and harder things. Good luck !

no but you cant just decide youre going to go pro without even trying snowboarding. you have to want it more than anything. 13 isnt too old. i know of big pros who started at 17. but i still think your logic is flawed.

man idk about pro but if your dedicated and want to do it enough go for it... just its hard at first and you mmight want to quit but hang with and and dont give up after a season or two you will get pretty good

No way is 13 too old to start, you can basically start at any age as long as you are fit enough to take the falls that go hand in hand with snowboarding.

Definitley not! My uncle is like 50 and he just started switched from snowboarding to skiing a couple years ago.

no I started last year when I last year when I was12 half way through the season and now I can beat my friends (who have been snowboarding consistently for 4+ years) down any run.
