When you have tests for ice skating?

    I just tested and passed that today! :) And I had trouble with the circle 8 too. I got passing marks for it, but I have the same problem you do. The best answer is to just practice it over and over again, but since it's tomorrow, you can't really do that. Talk to your coach and see what she suggests. I asked my coach and she said that if I feel like i'm going really slow on my last circle (which is my main problem), I should cut my circle a little shorter. She said to try to still get all the way back to the center, but making the shape a little less circular is better than putting your foot down and not making it all the way back. BUT DON'T DO THIS WITHOUT ASKING YOUR COACH! That would be a good way to make her mad, if she sees you trying something you had never talked about. So yeah just talk to your coach! If you don't pass, you accept it, practice more, and try again at the next test session. And she shouldn't get mad if you don't pass, as long as you're trying your very hardest. :) Good luck!!

what level are you on ? i have passed my begginers 1-10, my bronze silver and gold .. now i'm on national 2. what you need to do for more speed on your backward skating is to step into the circle more with your inside leg. if you dont pass first time DONT worry as you get to have a second chance :) good luck !

Why is your coach letting you attempt a test you're not fully ready for? If you fail on that iffy move, your coach has no right to be mad, because she let you do it knowing you didn't have the move down pat. If you don't pass, you go and do the test again next time.
