    Firstly, I would never let a shop assistant pressure you into buying a particular pair of boots, as it's not them that's skating in them it's you, no matter how professional they seem :) your boots sound worn out and just not practical for your level and progression, also the toe picks on beginner skates are far too small for a more advanced level, I would suggest Riedell silver star boots, these will definately last you a while and are a brilliant slender comfy fit, although if you are of a more wider foot I would lean towards getting Jacksons, I'm afraid though my knowledge of Riedell and Jackson only come from friends as I use Grafs which are absolutely brilliant! but you will be forking out a couple of hundred pound :)

i think its better to buy new skates , save money from now , sp terri is best skate they are so good because its real leather and very ankle support you should not retie them and they are not so expensive than other skates like jackson and redill ....you can get a perfect one by 300 with blades , and they are custom boots they measure your feet then they make skates and also the president called george gives you discount , save 50 dollars a month if you can ....you can buy skates after a year .. you can use them for 3 years and more and your elements will be better like professional skaters , i hope i helped :) always dream you can go to worlds and olympics after few years................
