    There may be a pro shop or skate store at or near the ice rink. But to get good quality skates, you could probably go with a Jackson Freestyle, but they're a couple hundred dollars.

see if your pro shop has a gently used pair. i was extremely lucky because someone had just given in a pair of not even broken in all the way jackson freestyles so i got them for $100. good luck(:

Get them on the Internet. There are a couple of good online internet pro shops with occasional discounts on Jacksons. Go to a Proshop near you, try out the style that is comfortable and remember it and buy it on the Internet:)
