Good stretches for figure skaters?

  • what are some good stretches for figure skaters that work good. I'm not looking for anything specific like good stretches for spiral or haircutters but more for everything. ...show more

  • Answer:

These videos helped me so I hope they help you too. Hold each strech for 30 seconds and make sure to get a proper warm up before you strech (atleast a 5 minute warm up, of things like jumping jacks and lunges.) Also, make sure to strech everyday, I can not stress this enough. If your not streching everyday your not going to improve.

Works like a charm. I repeat each stretch, i have amazing spirals and Beillmanns. They could be better but i haven't stretched a month because i keep injuring myself in a bunch of ways [unrelated to skating](but hey, i'm a klutz). I can almost get my spirals into the splits position when i'm warmed up and my Beillmanns are halfway in between REALLY good and bad. They're halfway there, about Shizuka Arakawa's. These are really great.
