tips for skating- always keep calm and don't panic! when skating to keep your sense of gravity low it helps to slightly bend your knees and never lean back or you'll be on your ***! err you can wear like a pear of leggings and a hoodie possible, tbh its not that cold in a ice rink, but defiantly wear something you can move in. you can get there a bit early so you can sort your skates out, don't tighten you skates too tight or too loose so that you have the right stability. you can either just stand the with both of your feet pointing forward but don't make sudden movements haha. or make a T shape with your skates with the heel of one skate to the inside of your other skate. Gently glide- slowly push off and push your skates outward to skate. don't try and walk in your skates or you'll get no-where apart from the floor. and if hes a good skater, he'll help you up without falling over, just dig your skate into the ice so he doesn't fall over too haha. good look, hope you have fun. oh and get him to pull you along if hes good!!!!!

You can't spell or use grammar to save your life, either. Seriously, pay more attention in school and less attention to boys and maybe your questions will be more readable. Next, I really, really can't stand stupid airheaded dumb teenage girls who think it's "so embarrassing" to fall over. EVERYBODY FALLS, GET OVER IT. Even the great Olympic champions fall! You're not dying, the world hasn't ended, so stop your drama-queen antics, get up and get on with it. As for clothing, this is ice skating. It's not a fashion parade. No-one there is going to care what you are wearing except to laugh at those dressed inappropriately. (Who, perhaps coincidentally, tend to be the same people dressed fashionably). Leggings, a t-shirt, a sweatshirt/hoodie, gloves. ONE pair of long, THIN socks. Get there early and get the right size skates. If you put the skates on and they're the wrong size, take them back and get another pair. Lace them firmly - now is not the time for that stupid loose-lace fashion that seems to be all the rage with idiot teenagers. If you've ever rollerbladed, the technique is similar. All pushing needs to happen from the inside of the foot, not the toes. And most importantly: I don't care if this guy is the love of your life, SAVE THE COUPLEY CRAP FOR OFF THE ICE. No kissing, no smooching, no nuzzling, no cuddling, holding hands, making-out, snuggling, or any other kind of PDA on the ice. It's DANGEROUS.

1. Don't worry about falling. Even the most advanced skaters fall. When skating, try to keep your knees bent. 2. Wear long pants and a light jacket. Don't wear jeans; they restrict movement, and if you fall, they'll get wet, and they'll stay wet. Also, no jewelry. 3. Get there about 15 minutes early and get the right size skates. If they are not the right size, go back and get another pair. 4. Try to bend your knees, and remember, it's ok if you fall. 5. Push with the inside of your foot. 6. Put your hands out and help yourself up. Have fun!

1. Keep you knees bent over your toes and try to look up and where you're going. It's no use trying to skate with your eyes glued to the ice. Try not the cling on at the side as there will be loads of people there and if you don't fall over yourself someone else will drag you down even by accident. Watch anyone who looks confident and try to copy them its the easiest thing to do I would say. 2. Wear something comfy and no flowy skirts or dresses. They will blow around and show your pants. Don't wear jeans because they can be tight and get et and heavy if you fall and they don't dry out quickly either. Don't wrap yourself up in winter clothes either you will get surprisingly hot in there especially if there are gonna be lots of people. Try leggings with a long top and it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a spare pair just in case. Bring a thin pair of gloves and socks which go above the ankle. The gloves will protect you from ice if you a going to fall over lots. 3. Get ther about 15 mins earlier Thant normally because you want to get a good size and if it doesn't fit don't be afraid to switch. It's better than hurting yourself. 4. Bend your knees to get a stable center of gravity. Being on ice even little movements will make something big happen. Therefore if you feel yourself tipping dont put any weight on areas of your foot you will only get stuck instead try and bend your knees which will give you more control. If you have to dig the tip of the blade into the ice just enough to be balanced. The alternative is the stand at the side with one hand on something. If you do feel yourself falling dont try and stop yourself by flailing. Chances are it won't work and you will end up looking like an idiot. Instead get your hands ready 5. Watch other people but here's some stuff. Start with your feet in a v shape and then push one leg out and place it back in. Then do the same with the other leg. If you find it too difficult just get the guy to pull you along. 6. Either get the guy to give you a hand or turn over so your in a crouching position. From there place one skate on the ice and make sure you have some balance. Still staying low do the same with the other. Make sure you're not in anyone's way if you are stay there until they pass. Then put your hands out. Your fingertips will do and then push yourself up. Have fun :)

Basic skating really isn't as hard as it seems. Just wear something like long pants and a light sweater or long sleeved top and just have fun. Half the fun comes from watching your friends fall anyways so don't take things too seriously lol.
