Practice ice skating moves without lots of people around?

Sign up for group lessons! Or get a private coach. Don't try and teach yourself anything because you'll undoubtedly learn it wrong. Figure skaters are always (or they should be) very aware of where everyone on the rink is. No-one should trip over you when you fall unless you fall right behind them or right in front of them without any room for them to stop, and then it's partly your fault too.

well its very difficult to practice and there are many people , you dont have to take private lessons to learn stops and backwards ... try to roller skate if you can it helps to learn simple stops like hockey and t stop also you can learn backwards by it ...or you can try another rink , tip : you can go early mornings its much better , here in erbil , we have only one rink and its always crowd so i go at 9 am its much better , and its very normal , every skater falls even world champions fall in their programs ...and usually good skaters fall more because they perform harder elements like jumps.

Get private coach!

A private coach for just the basics can be expensive. If you have the money then go for it.. But in my opinion You dont need that much space to pratice stopping and skating backwards. pick a corner and skate to one line and stop then skate to the next line and stop. Just focus on your self be agressive and everyone will watch out for you
