How long does it take to break in recreational skates?

How long will it take to break in ice skates?

  • My brand new ice skates are jackson artiste. I only skate about 3 hours a week (I am in freestyle 2). Will a heat mold help break them in?

  • Answer:

take no offense in this, but when i was in freestyle 2, i got the artiste, they didnt last long-i had them for 4 months...freestyles wouldve been better for u...get ankle sleeve gels-it makes your ankles hurt less artistes cant be heat molded-theyre plastic. tieing and untieing the skates over and over again help. it usually takes abt 2-4 weeks to break them in.

Approximately 12 hours on the ice will break them in. And it is necessary to heat mold them.

for about 2 weeks... coz the shape of the boots (inside) n ur feet r diff... so when the shape of it is the same then you wont have to suffer =P

Well a heat mold uasally helps break in ur skates and it normally takes 5 - 10 days to break them in but u can also walk around the house with them to help or put it under ur matress but since ur not doin real hard jumps and spins it wont hurt to much
