17 too late to learn how to figure skate?

I figure skate and have been figure skating for years, I'm 16, personally I don't think it's to late for you to start figure skating, I teach younger kids how to figure skate. Of course it won't be easy at first but nothing ever is, all you'll need is a lot of patience, and a lot of practice :) (maybe an ice pack or 2 :P, (experience)) Might take awhile to get the hang out it, it took me awhile but just keep at it :) Good luck :)

Go for it! The worst thing you could do is to not start. Some boy at my rink offered to do a little pair skating and i turned him down even though i love pair skating! I regret that so much, if i had the chance to back and change that moment, i would do it. Figure skate, you can always try. If you don't get competitive at least you tried.

i say go for it! Nothing is impossible, you never know, you could become a world champion! Go for it !!!!!

I was in the same boat, I got in trouble recently and had to find something to occupy my time so I learned to skate. It's actually a lot of fun, I wouldn't aim for figure skating, kids start really really young to even try that professionally. Just do it for you and you'll love it.

Of course not! I would say it's a little late to try to be a pro or something, but just for fun? Do it! You have your whole life ahead of you.

NO WAY you are never to old to skatig figure skating. i wil be 17 in october and i started a couple months ago and i have already done a competition and i LOVED it. it is possable to do competitions they have adult competitions too. you dont have to have any experiece in dance or ballet or anything but you might wanna start streching so you can eventually get into your splits. i have a few streches you can do if you want them so email me if you want them. if you have anyother questions feel free to email me! :) goood luck:)
