The sit spin is impossible to do correctly unless the skater can: 1) Hold their free leg up in front with their legs together. 2) Enter on a deeply bent knee without breaking at the waist. 3) Control the "snap" of the spin to execute the entry. 4) Be able to lower and rise up easily in a Teapot (Shoot the Duck) position. 5) Hold the spin in a straight-backed position. Ask your coach to give you some feedback - it's much easier to figure out why a spin is wrong when you can actually see the skater.

practice lots of lunges and squats off ice practice shoot the ducks and dips on ice (it is a little helpful to have someone push you around while you do those, and its really fun!) those worked well for me

Keep your back straight and do lots of crunches. You need to sustain you upper body. That and your arm movement will help you to be able to go up and down. also you should practice it a bunch, you know practice makes perfect!

Hi :D haha I like how enthusiastic you always are (accidentally saw few of your answers), so to do a lower sit-spin your legs should be very strong, to you know, keep your body in the sit-spin position. So, to be good at doing the position you should train the sit-spin position off-ice very well; you can do like down to the sit-spin position without holding with our hands and touching he floor with your foot and up again (on one foot), and the other as well to be strong in both legs - which is very important. You can do this 5 time before every training and then after say one and a half - two weeks you can do up to 10 times in a row which will be very very good. When you can do that you can hold the sit-spin position as you want - but remember to have balance and then go lower in to it. :D Good luck and I hope I helped :D Katherine

Practice a lot. Also practice doing dips and shoot the ducks, make sure you practice on both feet. Do a shoot the duck as far down as you can go then stand up without touching your foot to the ice at all, then back down and back up. This will build up strength in your legs. Do that off-ice too (on 2 feet and on one foot). Practice practice practice! Good luck!

while off ice try and do a sit spin (without the) spinning just the bending and practice with both feet xx
