Answer:
Of course it's not too late! The fact that you are very flexible is a HUGE asset. Many skaters have to work so hard on this. Flexibility is important in skating not only for doing moves like spins and spirals, but it also helps prevent injury. The more your body can bend to impact, the less falls will hurt, and the more you will be able to attempt and learn more difficult things. Strength will come in time as long as you are willing to work on it. Skating regularly will naturally strengthen your legs, but it helps much more if you dedicate some time to regular exercise and core strength training. Ask your coach or another coach at the rink if you need some ideas or suggestions on how to become stronger. I'm sure they will be able to help you! If you decide you want to try and skate competitively, there are many options including adult skating on the national and international level. These are still very competitive and challenging, but don't require the extreme training that Olympic-level skaters have had. Plus, those are some nice skates your mom bought! Many skaters have to start out with a used pair or rental pair, so the quality of the skates can really be an advantage when you start working on edges. Just go for it!! It takes a different amount of time to learn things depending on the person, and if you are a fast learner, you could pick up things a lot faster than your friend. Good luck!!

No!!! It is never too late. You will take longer to ajust, you will become really sore and you most likely wont make it to the olympics. But you can do it. Strech, and warm up really well everyday. Don't worry its not too late.

Honestly the most important thing is to never think you're too old. You can for sure go for amateur skating. Competitive... i'm not sure. But I did the same as you, ballet, other dance, gymnastics and stuff like that and I entered the club at the age of 17. But I could already skate at that time. Anyway i passed three levels in the first half of a year, and it just kept getting better. Of course you'd have to be examined by a coach if you have the potential cause flexibility is not that big of a deal to be honest. It helps but don't teach you jumps. And it is hard if you're asking for the coach. For me I was recruited by the coach so i had it easy. You'd have to try different skating centres. It's an expensive sport, you'd need way better skates in a while if you'll turn out to be good. And very very strong joints. That is especially knee, ankle and wrists. The injuries in these parts are awful.

It is not too late. I started figure skating at 13 (I'm 14 now) and I can do a lot. If you are willing to try, I mean really try, you will do it. Stretch a lot and stay hydrated. Do exercises to stay strong if you feel you are weak. Trust me. Just have faith in yourself and don't be afraid of what you have to do. Figure skating is an amazing sport, so I highly advise you to start. (By the way Jackson Mystique, good choice! I have the same kind! They will help you.) (Also get a pair of roller skates and use them for off ice practice!)

No it's never too late! I started skating lessons at 13 and then after about half a year later I joined a synchronized figure skating team and it is my favorite thing ever! And I`m moving up as my skills progress. I learned the tricks so fast because I took extra time out of my day to practice. I was and still am not nearly as flexible as you seem. But I guess it doesn't matter since I can do a lot of the tricks now, so don't rely on your flexibility to be good at ice skating. Sure, you can do some moves that others who aren't AS flexible can do, but even those who aren't are very good. But it is not too late to join! I`v already been in 11 competitions in 2 years of skating and it is so fun(: I think you would like it a lot! Also, if your mom bought you skates you really can't just say it's too late now! Haha, go for it! (:

first of all you are never to late to start ice skating and if you really dedicate yourself to do it you can and will probley progress faster sence you are older. being flexiable will be a good thng you are lucky that you are already flexable most peole have to work at it as i had to. but the most important thing is to have fun:)
well, the USFSA is age discriminatory. you have to compete at an open juvenile level, which may take a while to get to. you have to pass that freestyle test. the age limit for intermediate, which is after juvenile, is 18. once you get to novice, there is no age limit

I think you should go for it. you're really never too old to figure skate. but really, I improved by 4 levels in 2 years, and I'm barely flexible. so, it doesn't matter how old you are because you could search for teen classes, or you could take the adult class.
