Answer:
I have always used coordnation ace blades. They are really good. I skate about the same amount as you do. I learning doubles and stuff. So they should be perfectly fine for you. I don't think they are too expensive. But I would check them out. Hope That Helps.

Ultima Protege. Best blade for the money at a MSRP of $140. Similar toepick as the Coronation Ace and Comet that other posters have mentioned. Good size rocker at 8 foot. If you have a Jackson set now, your rocker is already 8 foot. With where you are in your skating, I would stay with the 8 foot. Wilson and MK blades are great but if you are on a budget, go Ultima. Ultimas are a good quality blade. You will not need to change blades again until after axels.

i just got new skates. the big coach at my rink ordered my blades. they are abotu 400 or 500 dollars but they'll last a while. they are wilson pattern 99's they're GREAT blades. i love them

John Wilson Coronation Ace or Coronation Comet should be enough for what you're doing. They're about $200 heres a link http://www.riedellskates.com/blades/coroncomet.html (comet) and http://www.riedellskates.com/blades/coronace.html (ace) Jackson recently acquired the Ultima blade company and their blades seem to go well with the Jackson skates. I'd say that the Ultima Legacy would also be a good choice for you it's about $160 heres a link to it http://www.rainbosports.com/shop/site/product.cfm/id/8D6469B3-D610-7E99-D9B898064E8138A0 good luck! edit: I'm sorry "Me" but you're mistaken the smaller the number, the larger the rock on the blade. Therefore; The Ace has a much larger rocker than the comet

My kids started out with the coronation ace blades. This could be the one and only blade you will ever need. The coronation ace has a larger rocker if that's what your looking for. I don't know much about the Majestic blades, but they're cheaper. If you bought skates with blades on them. I don't think you can replace them. You may have to buy new boots to go with your blades. I would double check with your coach since I can't see your skates. I got the blade information from Rainbo Sports. That's where I get my kids boots and blades from. Wilson Coronation Ace Excellent all around freestyle blade. * 7' rocker * Cross cut toe pick * Parallel blade SKU: WIL3 Our Price: $222.95 Wilson Coronation Comet A mid-range freestyle blade with a fuller rocker that gives greater gliding capabilities. Very stable. * 8 1/2' rocker * Straight cut toe pick * Parallel blade SKU: WIL4 Our Price: $234.95 Wilson Majestic A quality recreational blade and beginner freestyle blade benefitting from highly defined straight cut teeth. * 7' rocker * Straight cut toe pick * Parallel blade SKU: WIL10 Our Price: $149.95

Wilson Majestics are what alot of people at my rink use that are at your leval. I can't remember what blades I used when I was on salchows(that was 6 years ago at least lol), but whenever a walk into the skate shop at my rink, the walls are lined with them. I'd give them a shot. If you get up to lutzes any time soon, i'd try to switch over to pattern 99's. It takes a while to get used to the toepick, but it totally helps on your flip and lutz!!! Good luck and Keep Skating!!!

I agree with a lot of the other answerers....I'd suggest the Coronation Comet. As an adult skater that skated growing up, I've been on a few different blades...Professionals, Gold Seals, Vantage (no longer made...old name for the Vision), Phantoms and the Coronation Comet. I haven't really had any complaints about any of them. Gold Seals are very expensive, but the for me there was no transition time betwen the Gold Seal and the Coronation Comet when I couldn't afford to replace the Gold Seals. I've been pretty happy with the Comet. Also as an adult skater with bills to pay, here are some of my secrets for keeping skate cost down. While I normally don't recommend buying "real" skates or blades at sporting goods stores, it doesn't hurt to snoop at the used equipment stores. I needed new blades, but was out hunting for skates for one of my stepdaughters. I went to a consignment sports store and stumbled upon a pair of Harlicks with Coronation Comets on them...just in my size. The boots needed a little help from a botched snow seal job, but the blades were in great shape! I got the boot and blade for $52! Couldn't pass that up! While I think finds like that might be few, it can't hurt to look. :) There are also some decent deals on eBay. If you're armed with your size, width, brand, model and know specifically what you're looking for, sometimes you can find it for a decent price. While the boot or blade might be used, some are in very good condition. If it doesn't kill you to not have brand new boots and blades, it's not a bad place to look and you're not paying retail. Some skate shops also sell skates on consignment. I pretty much am always looking for deals since there are 3 of us skating in the family, 2 of which have growing feet. Good luck! :)

Get Ultima Blades. They are partners with Jackson, and the same as Patter 99's but just cheaper. follow this link: http://www.rainbosports.com/shop/site/product.cfm/id/4AC577B1-475A-BAC0-545C77CE1D6400BF Also, take a look around the website. www.rainbosports.com They have some good stuff.

Try the ultima blades. You can get their top of the line blades for $300-350 and the steel is harder than the Wilson & MKs so they hold an edge longer.
