  • I was just wondering what is your opinion........which brands of figure skates are the best to you?

    I totally agree with summerkid710! (Even down to her SP-Teri's . . . that's been my skate boot for years too - although I started in Riedells!!). There are top brands out there, but out of all of them, the best one is going to be the one that fits you best. I haven't really tried many...only several different Riedells and Jacksons, but I love my Jacksons. They're wide enough to fit my feet into so they're comfortable.

different brands work better for different people. I have most of my single jumps (all but axels and I'm working on that), and my Riedell Bronze Medallion skates are working great for me.

it all depends on what you are doing. If your a single skater, pairs skater, ice dance, or synchro. It also depends on what Level you are at and how competitive you are. I am an extremly competitive synchro skater and i LOVE my SP-Teri dance boots. I had always worn Ridells but a few years ago when i joined a new team that was at a much higher level than my old team i needed skates that would allow more ankle bend so the sp-teri dance boots were perfect!

i personally adore my custom-made klingbeils. but, there is no across-the-board skate. things such as level of skating, type of skating (dance, pairs, singles), foot type, and other things can affect your decision. also, don't forget about the blade. blades can be as important for skating.

Michelle Kwan uses Riedell's. I visit her skating rink and when she was there, I see her skating, always Riedells. I prefer SP Teri's. I had a good performance with them and they lasted a long time, very good quality. Good luck! :D

I like my Riedell skates the best just because they fit me and feel the best on my feet, and they are also made for higher level skaters, unlike some other brands. Depending on what type of skating you are doing, and your level depends on what type of skates you usually like better.

I think Reidells. I have only had two pairs, but they are REALLY good!
