How good do I need to be to join high school ski team?

    Ask the coaches and talk to other students on the team to see how you may compare. My son does cross country skiing. While he is a good technical skier and able to ski the difficult competitive trails, he isn't very fast so not very competitive yet. However, he is improving and getting a lot of encouragement. Practice a lot. Watch videos of other skiers and ask those who are better to give you tips. At my ski area, everyone likes to help each other.
