  • Answer:

Northern japan has some of the best snow in the world, and is dependable for snow ( northern most island) and is generly under rated, theirs skiing their every bit as good as in canada, Etier destination is good, canada is easyer if u don't speak Japanese, and less of a culter shock, But I would sayy if language and culter shock can be overcame go to japan (earthquakes happen in canada as well if that's your risk)

If you can afford the trip why waste the money to a marginal snow region when you are contemplating one of the best resorts in North America. Whistler even with a time problem is still a top resort. A 3 day stay should allow your body to adjust and you are traveling east so the problem is more on your return. Get up earlier for a week before you travel and the time problem should be minimal.
