I need tips on how to grind rails on skis.?

Hitting rails seems like it's very hard, but in reality it's quite easy! All you have to do is have some courage. Start on boxes (the wide rails). When you approach it, have your feet roughly shoulder width apart, with the box "between your feet." When you get to the takeoff before the box, pop and turn 90 degrees left or right, whatever your preference. Keep your weight between your feet, your knees bent, and look at the end of the box to keep balance. Then at the end of the rail, just pop back to face forward, or land switch. After you master this, move on to short rails, then finally whatever you want. These principals work for both flat and down rails. Remember, the most important part is to pop onto the rail! Don't try to slide on, as you will slip out immediatly. Just watch some ski edits on youtube, all the good riders pop.
