Help with ski length?

    For ski length get about 145 to 150 cm, any shorter and you end up with a child or youth ski that may last you only 2 seasons. By the time you are 14 or 15 you should be transitioning to an adult ski in the size I suggested. Whoever says get a larger boot than what you should wear is absolutely clueless about snow skiing. Your ski boot must fit tight around the foot and ankle so your foot does not move in the boot. Any movement in the boot means you are loosing the connection between your body movement patterns and the ski. This results in loss of control of the ski and you are fighting the equipment rather than controlling it. The only way to get a boot fit properly is to go in person to a specialty ski shop and spend 3-4 hours trying on boots and getting them fit to your foot, not to a friends foot. When you hold the skis up to yourself they should hit your shoulders, your boots should be a size larger but in some cases they are the same shoe size,it all depends on the manafacturer.My suggestion is do not buy them online ,also if its your first time skiing you might want to rent skis and boots just in case you end up not liking the sport,because skis are quite expensive.
