How To Wax Skis?

How often should i wax my skis? And is there a good brand of all TEMP wax?

  • I hot waxed them, though im not sure if they are properly done. Is there something i should look for? Also any good brands of all temp wax?

  • Answer:

If its really late or early in the season and the snow is slushy, don't wax your skis. The wax creates suction on the snow and it would be a waste of time. Your skis will work just as well if not better un-waxed. It sounds crazy, but my ski coach is a chemist and that's what he said.

Your skis should be waxed after every second day of skiing, and 10-15 times when you first buy them. http://www.skituning101.com/2008/11/chapter-1-whats-it-going-to-cost-me.html
