What shoes to wear in snow?
-
I don't know what type. I'm going on a ski trip in July and i need to find a suitable pair of shoes. I don't exactly want to fall over and slip on the ice.

Answer:
I wear hiking boots with a high ankle. It has good traction. Don't wear runners or sneakers - there won't be sufficient grip and you'll slip. If you're skiing in July, I'm guessing your ski trip is to Australia or New Zealand. If so, hiking boots will be fine. We've found that the grip on the soles of our hiking boots were insufficient in Hokkaido, Japan. It was very icy. So we bought special boot crampons to strap onto our boots for the extra grip. Have fun!
