depends on your particular boots. i would be cautious because generally snow boots are heavier and not really comfortable to be in for such long periods so they wont be great to hike in. maybe you can wear your boots for a day or something and see how they feel.

I think that would not be a good idea. For the most part snowboard boots are designed to be snowboared in. Some models can be use for hiking up steep snow slopes, like for backcountry snowboarding, but they are the soles will wear out quick if you are walking on rough surfaces. Additionally they don't flex very well and would be difficult to walk long distances
