Weight is more important than height when it comes to skis. I'd suggest getting a similar length to what you are used to renting but if you're unsure, go shorter.

when in doubt, always go a little shorter. im 5'10 and I went from 170s to 140 powder skis. i love the shorter skis. first of all, the shorter skis dont chatter as much when going fast. second, there easier to turn. and lastly there easier to do tricks on if your interested in park. By the way mine are k2s also
