Which skiing resorts are open in September in Colorado, USA?

We are looking to visit America for a few months (Aug-Nov) we'd like to visit Colorado for some skiing however we are not sure about the best resorts to visit. Will any of the ...show more

Nope. Not in Sept. There are a few small snow fields (that is a hill or shady area with snow still on it - not a ski resort) that are around year round but are typically a good hike from any road. Other than a freak early winter blast of 2 feet or 0.5m of snow in Sept, there are no ski areas open on a daily basis until October sometime.

Most US resorts that operate on public lands aren't even allowed to start operation until October. In some cases cattle and sheep are likely to still be grazing in September.
