Skiing in Japan or US?

My mate and I are trying to figure whether we should go skiing and snowboarding in Niseko Japan, or USA i.e. Breckenridge or Utah or Mammoth. We've been to neither at this stage. ...show more

The barking bear forums will get you a lot of responses (google it). Mammoth is great - but a bit remote - and it is not the most raging nightlife. It is the best resort I've skied. Utah is more accessible and you will find many, many resorts in a small area and can sample from several of them. There will be more nightlife.
