    the redsters are a race ski, it is something i would ski on. just go i to your local ski shop and see what they have on sale from last year that would suit you. I hear that the the elan amphibio is a great beignet ski.

seeing as your a beginner you should NOT get redsters they are racing skis. it really depends on what type of skiing u want to do i would always recommend twin tips as they are super maneuverable and durable. i would go to your local ski mountain and rent skis there, but since your a beginner dont get new skis my first skis where hand me downs. some local places have a ski swap so you can find some decent skis for cheap but dont go over 150 because if you dont like skiing you wont be able to get most of the money back.

The Redster is a WAY more high quality ski. What you pay is what you get in this comparison of two skis. It is far more high performance, with a design similar to that of a slalom racing ski. They would not be too much to handle for a beginner either.
