Can i go off piste with twin tip skis?

What kind of skis? Most modern powder/all mountain skis are twin tip. A short set of park skis, with narrow waist and forward binding mount can leave you driving in the back seat all day... If there is powder. Skis have changed a lot over the last decade, by "regular alpines" I assume you mean the straight(ish) skis that were popular up until the parabolic revolution. That being said, if you don't feel comfortable on your park skis, just rent some powder planks, or hit up a used gear shop and buy some year or two old set of powder planks for cheap.

@Ian, not in the last decade. In the last 2-3 yrs. Things have dramatically changed with the release of rocker technology. @OP, To go off-piste, I would want to use an all-mountain ski with a decent amount of rocker specifically in the front
