Answer:
Situated at the base of Killington, Mountain Green Resort provides the perfect getaway for anyone. This three-building complex offers all the luxuries one would expect from an upscale resort with the amenities that make guests feel right at home. The main building houses all of the resort amenities, but the outer buildings are just a short walk away. Each unit features a large balcony or patio, fireplace w/ free firewood, color TV with VCR, telephone, and fully-equipped kitchen. The resort houses a full-service health spa, indoor pool, as well as a gift shop, video arcade, and a fully-equipped ski and pro shop. Laundry facilities are also located in each building. All units sleep two people per bedroom and two additional people on a sleeper sofa in the living room. Bedding varies among units, please call for details. The Snowshed Base Lodge is just 500 yards from the Mountain Green, and guests can take advantage of the free shuttle.

Sutton's Place in Manchester Center is a guest house close to Bromley, 45 mins to Stratton & Magic. Killington-Pico Motor Lodge and the Econo Lodge are like $59/night. Most of the chains S.Burlington come in around $65/night, you're within 60mins away from Smuggs, Bolton, and Stowe.

you have 2 choices..: 1. stay in burlington and drive about 25-30 minutes to the mountains (stowe, sugarbush)..burlington will have your most lodging optiomns and the cheapest cince it has alot of chain hotel options..plus burlington has alot to do when your not skiing 2. stay in killington which also has some chain hotels but none will be cheap especiaaly on a midwinter weekend overalll, it sounds like ypour best bet is burlington...most of the actual ski towns have cozy/quaint inns and B&B's for lodging which doesnt sound like what your friends are lookijg for

There is a great B&B in pittsfield, Vt. called the "Swiss Family Inn".Little pricey but they have a great breakfast and it's only about half hour from Killington ski area. Where ever you go have a good time. I m from Vermont so I know the area. Jim
