    You need skis, gloves, goggles, hat, waterproof pants/ jacket, thick socks, and ski boots. If you are a beginner, I wouldn't suggest poles-it's easier for most people to learn without them. Also, if you plan on falling a lot, I definetly recommend a helmet. Also, sunscreen is a really good idea because like when you swim, the sun is reflected off the water and onto your skin. This applies for snow-it is really quite easy to get burned up on the mountians if the suns out! Have fun with the wonderful spring skiing!

It all really depends where and when you are skiing. In the middle of winter u might want to dress in more clothes then the spring. No two models of skiies are the same your best chance would be to talk to a person a ski shop and they can find whats best such as a a racer would not want freestyle trick skiies because it would slow them down. Research where you will ski most for best results.

make sure you go to a ski shop where you can talk to one of there employees and they will assist you for what ski fits you best. or go online to ski websites and look at the reviews and read the tech specs to find your proper ski!
