How do I make people take me more seriously as a freestyle skier?

    prove it to them. show them what you got. show them you have ambition and that you have talent and keep at it. just try not to do it in a boastful way :)

i have the same problem. :] just ski like you're one of the boys. ski where they do, when they do. MAKE them take you seriously. just do you. i love pulling off tricks that they can't even do. nothing gives me more satisfaction than proving people wrong. rock on, girl.

work from the bottom to the top :) guys think its hot when a girl can shred so just keep practicing and show them that you don't joke. I had the same problem. I'm defiantly not the best, but guys take me alot more seriously because I started doing actual rails, not the box. Just keep practicing

I love seeing ladies that can rip. Anytime you have someone that doesn't take you serious it can be attributed to fear and embarrassment. The boys are afraid you'll be better than they will ever be and that scares them and when it happens they will be embarrassed. Just keep at it and throw new tricks. Good skiers will recognize you have talent and those kids that don't want to admit it will still just be tools.
