How much would a ski package cost (skis+boots+poles) for a beginner?

Yea it depends on height and weight if your more of an adult prices could rack up to around 350-400 dollars. But at this point in the season your probably best on waiting until summer and purchasing gear at a lower price with the off season prices. You could look on ebay for some cheaper skiis also

Skis generally run around $200-500. I picked up a pair of twin tips for $350 and they work great. Try to look for Rosignol or K2 skis. They are the best for beginners. Boots depend on if you are going to rent or not. If you're not renting, it's going to cost, again $500. The high-performance boots such as Nordica, which I have, and Lance cost around $800. Renting will cost $100 each season. Poles are cheap and they run up to $100. Some good brand name poles are Scott and Leki. Also, don't forget about helmets. They run up to about $150. The good ones are K2 and Giro. Enjoy skiing and yes, it's an expensive sport! By the way, the total is about $1000.
